Duration of product used: 6 months

 Car Setup:
 Golf MkV

 Strengths:
Good grip in wet and dry.

 Weaknesses:
 Wears down too fast.
Road noise increases in tandem with wear and tear.

 The Review:
Like a honeymoon, the initial 2-3mths were a bliss. The tire was quiet and performed superbly. It is indeed a high performance tire, no doubt about that.

However, as the wear and tear set in, the road noise got increasingly loud. The grip was still pretty good, both in the dry and in the wet.

The tires also wear down faster than most tires and that doesn't bode well for my wallet.

It's a very good and grippy but wears too fast for my taste.

Duration of product used: 6 months

 Similar Products Tried:
 CSC3 / PP2

 Strengths:
very good grip in dry and wet

 Weaknesses:
noisy on concrete road areas at speeds over 80, such as certain stretches of NSH

 The Review:
grip : beaten only by the top end rubbers like PZero/PS2

handling : predictable and precise

wear rate : not too good, cant expect much with so much grip

noise : stay away if you dont like noise

durability : very tough chassis, had 2 nails so far but both did not manage to penetrate the rubber at all, unlike my previous hankook v8rs, 1 week old tyre entire thread block torn by glass and had to buy a brand new tyre...

I thought that the Eagle F1 Asymmetric is supposed to be quieter than most tyres? Cost-wise it should be cheaper that CSC3 and PP2 right?

Duration of product used: Less than 1 month

 Car Setup:
 BMW 335i

 Similar Products Tried:
 Michelin PS2

 Strengths:
 -Very good grip
-Tested on rainy days, very solid grip
-Fantastic Price
-Better than F1 version, very quiet

 Weaknesses:
I don't find any thing bad so far.

 The Review:
I tried this tyre for a month or so. Just got it change. Went to the shop, ask for a performance tyre, the boss recommend Michelin, Pirelli...etc All of them quite expensive. I then saw the Eagle F1 Asm, It look quite good. The boss told me it was a performance tyre too. I asked," why you did not recommend it to me?". He said,"you are driving a BMW..". I tested the tyre, the feeling tells me that Eagle F1 ASM is a legend in terms of price, performance and grip... Try it yourself and you'll know.

wah lao... BMW drivers can't have Goodyear Asym? WTH. I would have just glared at him. Money doesn't drop from the sky. But that particular Goodyear is one of the best tyres out there. Matches the best from Conti, Michelin and Pirelli and may even surpass them at a fraction of the price.

Funny how business people try to sell you expensive stuff when you drive an expensive car...

Duration of product used: Less than 1 month

 Strengths:
 Superb wet and dry
Transformed the handling completely

 Weaknesses:
 Seriously lacks durability

 The Review:
I have just had these put on the front and straight away I could feel they were really smooth and had tons of grip like I have never experienced before. The road feedback is awesome, very quiet and they handle brilliantly which instantly gave me confidence to throw the car around bends and they just don't let go.

The tyres make the car hugely exploitable in the bends and perhaps offer more sheer grip than handling but still approach their limit with no fuss making it obvious when you are pushing too hard. All in all it feels like a new car, handles like its on rails, just wish they were available in more sizes but I suppose they will come in time. Would definitely buy again.

I was thinking that this could be the target for my next tyre change after reading good reviews on it.
How do you tell that it seriously lacks durability after a month? I hope the grip and noise levels don't change much over time...
